In Victorian times tea was treated with the greatest of respect and was often kept locked up in little wooden boxes. England is a nation of tea drinkers; tea has become a national institution, a necessity, and a way of life.

Tealeaf reading is a private matter, an intimate experience.
Walking into a small space, you are seated at a little table for one. You notice a woman wearing an enormous Victorian hoop skirt dress. She establishes eye contact and slowly lifts up her skirt to reveal an entire tea set hidden in a wooden cupboard inside of her dress.

High tea is a one-on-one performance. The piece lasts for five minutes and is repeated over several hours for two audience members at a time. Audience members have the choice of experiencing the performance as a participant or viewing the solo performance for a solo audience from a secret location as a voyeur.

Each experience will be unique and some audience members might choose to participate as a participant and a voyeur.
